I aim to have all my makeup services provided within an hour and a half unless otherwise specified. All makeup is supplied by me and I request that you are hydrated and have a clean face before your appointment.
For weddings, I may request some headshots of your bridal party so I can correctly plan and cater for your requested look for your big day.
Hair services may take up to 2 hours depending on the length and thickness of your hair and the style requested. Your hair should always be clean, freshly washed and dried on the day of your appointment. There may be a surcharge for unclean hair that requires additional treatment and time to achieve your desired look.
Duty of Disclosure
Hygiene is a major consideration for makeup artists as we are working with moist mediums that can transmit disease and infection if not applied and treated correctly. To assist with the sanitation of my kit and to prevent the spread of infection, it is your duty to disclose any infections such as cold sores or hepatitis that you may have. You will still be able to have your service provided however I will take the necessary precautions to apply your makeup without contaminating my kit. Failure to disclose such information may result in you being liable for the replacement cost of any infected products or tools.
If you request any additional services on the day that were not outlined in the initial booking of your service, there may be an additional cost which will be payable on the day.
Makeup by Jacquelyn reserves the right to re-evaulate rates from time to time for business related expenses such as travel. Should there be changes to your initial booking, you will be notified 7 days prior.
Standard hair & makeup services: A non-refundable fee of $50 is payable at time of booking to secure your service on that particular date and time This amount will be deducted from the total cost of the service. If you need to cancel and then rebook within 1 week you will not be required to pay another deposit. The balance is due on the day of the service.
Weddings: A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required at the time of booking which will be deducted from the total cost of the service. The remaining balance is due 7 days before your special day. A detailed invoice will be issued after you confirm your booking with a cost breakdown and details of how to pay the deposit.
Photoshoots/Television Commercials: An invoice will be issued and payment required within the agreed timeframe.
